Project Overview

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Museum Siam, the institution commissioned a complete website redesign to reflect its historical legacy while embracing a modern, user-centered digital presence.

Allwork Studio was responsible for creating a platform that not only serves as a digital archive of Thai history and culture, but also functions as a hub for public engagement, event promotion, and educational access. The website needed to be visually compelling, content-rich, and easily usable for people of all ages.

UX/UI Design Focus

The design strategy focused on making the site feel inviting, educational, and accessible — reflecting the museum’s role as a bridge between Thailand’s rich past and its modern public.

Key UX/UI goals included:

  • Age-Inclusive Usability: Interfaces designed to be intuitive for all age groups, with features like adjustable font sizes, clean navigation, and clear labeling
  • Device-Responsive Layout: Fully optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop viewing
  • Content-Rich Navigation: Easy access to exhibitions, historical files, activity announcements, and cultural resources
  • Visual Hierarchy for Clarity: Organized layouts and typography to help users browse vast amounts of historical information without feeling overwhelmed

Key Website Features

  • Exhibitions & Events Section: Highlights current and upcoming exhibitions, special events, and workshops
  • Digital Archive & File Search: Allows users to search and download historical documents and media
  • News & Activity Feed: Keeps the public updated on museum programs and initiatives
  • Accessibility Tools: Users can increase/decrease font size and toggle interface modes for better readability
  • CMS for Museum Staff: Admin panel developed to allow content updates across all sections without technical knowledge

Outcome

  • Created a comprehensive digital archive and outreach platform that honors 100 years of cultural heritage
  • Improved accessibility for a wide audience, from students to senior visitors
  • Enabled the museum team to manage and update content independently
  • Increased public engagement through online promotion of exhibitions and activities
  • Strengthened Museum Siam’s digital identity as a modern cultural institution
